How to deal with a mother-in-law from hell?

My mother-in-law makes our lives miserable. She's done a lot of cruel things including taking our home from us. Then trying to run it. She's also tried to drive me away from my husband. She's always making rude remarks in what she thinks is a sweet clever way. She does it in such a way that my husband don't catch on. I've never mistreated her. I'm good to her and his whole family. I'm a great wife. I cook,clean,take care of my husband in every way possible. My mother-in-law is a user. The only time she ever wants to talk to me or my husband is when she's wanting something. My husband and I get along great until he talks to to his mother. Then he's rude and cocky to me. She's going to be moving closer to us in a few weeks. I want her out of our lives so bad it hurts. I don't wish death upon her. Just a lot of physical distance between us. How to I cope with such an evil woman. Please don't reply mama's boys telling me to suck it up and get over it.
