Does not changing facebook relationship status equal lack of committment on a guy's part?

I had to break up with him for mistreating repeatedly even though I loved him deeply. Looking back on it though, i know it always bothered me that he never changed his status on facebook from single to in relationship. He called me his girlfriend, we hung out with his friends and family who all loved me, but yet he refused to change FB status the one time I asked. It also bothered me that he didn't have a single picture of me on his page, but had at least 30 of his ex girlfriend labeled as " past memories". He justified it as she was with him for 7 years and a part of significant changes in his life.....well that's all fine, but how does that explain not one single picture of me or us together?? Who is he afraid is going to see it? Anyway to me it breaks down as, he's not committed no matter how much he said he was, and also showed how little regard he had for my feelings. I know at first blush it seems like such a trivial insignificant issue, but I think it's a gray area that causes friction for a lot of couples. Any thoughts or personal experiences with this?
